Modern elegance in gold and white

Travellers in the western Romanian city of Oradea are offered stylish accommodation accompanied by fine dining at the new four-star Hotel Artemis. But not only tourists and business travellers appreciate this hotel near the small airport; Hotel Artemis is also a venue for dance events and celebrations. The two event halls which make up part of the complex offer space for lavish wedding celebrations, which often last several days in Romania. The Leto Hall, a function room which holds up to 200 people, is equipped with modern audio and video technology and benefits from plenty of natural light. The Artemis Hall, with its spacious and elegant rooms, can even accommodate up to 500 people.

The building is decorated in a gold and white palette. Architect Doru Florin Bodea from the architecture office S.C. BDFA STUDIO S.R.L. designed the hotel to resemble a golden cube floating on a glass base. This burnished golden lustre is created by the ALUCOBOND^® Brushed Gold panels. While the flat surface of the north façade comprises anodised façade elements in uniform rectangles, the east-facing entrance façade is reminiscent of a cubist sculpture. The two-storey high glazed frontage is framed by panels which slant inwards and converge at the vanishing point. Lettering and the hotel's logo and are attached to the widest part of this three-dimensional, angular frame.

Surrounding the complex, white marble floor slabs bestow a touch of Mediterranean elegance. In addition, the cladding on the two event halls features white ceramic panels, offset by slatted golden sections and window elements. Vertical slats made of lacquered aluminium profiles appear here and there on the building, both in the black window frames, and in gold details. They break up the flat façade and lend it a certain contemporary lightness. A lightness to be shared and experienced by guests at the hotel.
