REASONED ARCHITECTURE IN A BUSY SPHERE

Kurumoch International Airport in Samara is one of Russia’s ten leading airports and the largest and most forward-looking and innovative airport in the Volga region. The construction of the modern new passenger terminal is was the fi rst successfully implemented project within the framework of transportation infrastructure facilities for 2018 FIFA World Cup. Samara airport, built in less than 18 months, stands out from others not only because of its modern technology but also due to its unique architecture.
When designing an airport, safety measures for both passengers and staff are an absolute priority. This makes the precise planning of the infrastructure and the access routes in connection with modern design essential. The airport interior refl ects the aesthetics of the cosmonaut era and the bright, open-plan design conveys a feeling of safety and security. The whole Kurumoch Airport complex is clad with ALUCOBOND® in Silver Metallic, which emphasises its architectural design and is reminiscent of a space age, high-tech industrial city. The whole complex is designed to be a safe transport hub for the heavy traffic of cargo and passenger fl ights and is a prime example of successful and aesthetical modernisation throughout the extensive area.
