This light-flooded residential building firstechoes the lines of the hillside before developinginto a striking adamantine structure.Located on sloping terrain, the compact volumeof the detached house is reminiscent ofa ski jump venue with its outdoor living spacesand pool area jutting out over the hillsidegarden like the take-off point.The design and implementation of the building’scontours cleverly deal with constrictingbuilding-authority regulations and the resident’sdesire to maximize the floor space.As there was little leeway, a delicate touchand sensitivity was essential when choosingmaterials and devising the fine details.Panels cut to form acute angles and structurestapering off to nothing attest to excellentcraftsmanship. Precisely designed jointpatterns and the effect of ALUCOBOND^®spectra Galaxy Blue achieve this deliberatelyfuturistic design.Visitors experience the covered entranceto the house as a playful outcrop. A courtyard-like incision on the facade overlookingthe road forms a transparent, illuminatedtransition from the front garden to theground-floor living area.The building envelope evolves downwards tomeet the landscaped garden area at groundlevel. This is where natural greenery forms anideal contrast to the smooth spectral roofcladding and the black window-framing reveals.During the day, weather conditionsinfluence and change the ALUCOBOND^®façade’s appearance; at night, the plantsin the garden cast an interplay of light andshadow on these same surfaces.
