Ontwerp voor Skycraper in Moscow afgerond

24 november 2003, 14:45
(EEA) Erick van Egeraat associated architects had a meeting in Moscow with leading members of the project team and their client Capital Group to discuss the final design stages for ‘Moscow-City’.

The ‘Moscow-City’ project consists of two slender towers which, once complete, will rise 54 and 65 stories high and mark the skyline of Moscow as the city’s tallest buildings. The lower stories will be available for office use, whereas the upper levels, starting at 80 metres will comprise of luxurious apartments and penthouses with stunning views over Moscow City. In front of the towers, there will be two large conical domes of differing heights offering further office or retail space to local and international top clients.

On its completion date in 2006, the total urban area of ‘Moscow-City’ will feature 2.5 million square metres of office, recreational and hotel space in one of the most prestigious office and residential areas, situated to the north of Moscow River, close to the Expo Centre and the White House (Parliament of the Russian Federation).

With a capital cost of approximately $250 million, EEA’s design of ‘Moscow-City’ combines the most challenging architectural forms and latest technological innovations in high-rise architecture, to create a true city in the sky.

‘My ambitions for ‘Moscow –City’ are to create a design, where every detail connects the most unique experience of contemporary lifestyle with the superb splendour of Russia’s great past’.
(Erick van Egeraat)
