The clients have fallen in love with their home all over again thanks to thisStudio Mariska Jagt metamorphosis of a top floor flat, beautifully situated on a harbour. Flawless-to-perfection bespoke, warm and stylish materials, eye-pleasing lighting and unique art embrace and reinforce each other, together ensuring that the residents have a new home without having to move. An interior with the look and comfort of a stylish boutique hotel.
We reach the living spaces on the ground floor of the house through the double steel pivot doors. The open character, colour palette and custom-made solutions designed by Studio Mariska Jagt ensure that the living room, dining room and kitchen form a whole and effortlessly flow into one another. A fine example of this is the bespoke bench alongside the dining table, which creates a connection between the fireplace in the living room, the dining area and the exclusive kitchen. The hanging/pendantlamps suspended above the dining table are true eye-catchers. The lines, shapes and materialsused lenda hint of mysteryto the overall scene. The blue walls combined with the dark, custom woodwork and brass details give the house a warm, chic appearance, while the light floor adds a fresh contrast. The mouldings on the living room wall add the desired classic touch to the whole.
Luxurious and cosy
One floor up, in the main bedroom, Studio Mariska Jagt applied a fabric wallpaper, which makes the luxurious, cosy atmosphere both tactile and visible. The handles on the cabinet wall are made of brass, which also returns in the wall-mounted lights, taps, shower heads and in the styling on the ground floor, interconnecting the various rooms in the residence. In the bathroom, too, with its generous shower area, high-quality, custom work and natural materials create a serene, welcoming atmosphere.
