Level Leiden

Located next to Leiden Central Station, Level is a multifunctional complex that welcomes a broad cross-section of society – passengers, residents, employees and students – on a daily basis.

It was designed to provide a sense of openness, a maximum building density of fifty percent, and a free line of sight from the station. While its footprint fills the entire plot, the complex comprises many open spaces which create perspective and form traffic routes and meeting points. The hall on the ground floor is reserved for commercial activities, and represents an open invitation to pedestrians.

The foyer of the complex leads to the new ROC (regional training centre) Leiden via a wide stairway. The interior of the ROC, also designed by MVSA, is bright, calm and pleasant, and centred around a large atrium, with colours and iconography identifying the different areas. The levels directly above house offices, while the top three floors are occupied by a commercial hotel and a care hotel, and a restaurant with panoramic views. There is also a fitness club & wellness centre with a swimming pool.
