Mecanoo, a dynamic and internationally operating architectural firm, is looking for a Head of Finance to strengthen the Mecanoo team. The firm is known for its creativity, innovation and high-quality projects. The Head of Finance works closely with the daily management and is responsible for overseeing the financial management of the firm.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Motivation: Leading the finance department (1.7 FTE) and working with and motivating a creative and highly skilled team of 130 employees, promoting a culture of collaboration;
Operational Responsibility: Ensuring the financial quality of business operations;
Financial Management: Managing the financial performance of projects, including reporting and analysis, and implementing processes to improve efficiency;
Contract management: Drafting contracts, assessing legal consequences and conducting discussions (internally and externally) about contracts for projects at home and abroad.

Ideal profile:

Proactive and hands-on;
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. It is important to be able to deal with all employees in a respectful and professional manner;
Experience: 4 - 6 years of experience in a similar role, with responsibility for the financial management of national and international projects. Experience in the architectural sector or related fields is a plus;
Language skills: Fluent in both English and Dutch;
Flexibility & Stress Resistance: Able to thrive in a dynamic, stressful environment;
Education level: higher professional education or university degree in finance/economics;
Time: Hours of work week in consultation.
