JVST is an ambitious, multidisciplinary office in Rotterdam, working at the intersection between urban planning and architecture. With a team of approximately 15 enthusiastic designers, architects and urban planners, we work on a wide variety of projects with our mission: creating warm urban places for people. Having fun and a good team spirit are central to our work.

Our office is looking for an urban talent that is available to assist us for a period of 2-3 months.

Job description:
You work in a team on different types of projects under the supervision of a project leader. We are currently working on various masterplans, zoning plans and feasibility studies in addition to various study projects and strategic area visions. You are able to perform various tasks under guidance, such as drawing maps and diagrams, model making, and working on impressions and presentations.

Profile:

Passion for urban planning and architecture and affinity with the JVST office mission
Team player with strong communication, conceptual and graphic skills
Analytical skills, eager to learn and hands-on
Basic knowledge of building typologies
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Sketchup, AutoCad & Adobe CC (Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator)
Good language and writing skills in English. The working language in our office is English.
Available preferably immediately

Tasks:

Creating visions and masterplans, from SO to DO, zoning plans, exploratory (counting) model studies, feasibility studies and design studies
Making models, plan drawings, cross-sections and diagrams
Create atmospheric impressions; hand sketches, renders, collages and photoshopping
Make presentations and booklets in InDesign
Participate in (international) tenders, competitions and acquisitions
