''WARMTE IN EEN RUWE SCHIL''
Een woonhuis als statement in staal en beton
In het Belgische Lanaken staat een woning die kracht en subtiliteit naadloos combineert. De gevels zijn opgetrokken uit cortenstaal en beton, twee materialen die verweren en verankeren, en het huis een tijdloos, bijna monumentaal karakter geven. De robuuste buitenkant contrasteert met de verfijning van het interieur, waar lichtinval, zichtlijnen en zachte materialen de boventoon voeren.
Materialiteit als identiteit
De keuze voor cortenstaal is niet alleen esthetisch, maar ook betekenisvol. De natuurlijke oxidatie zorgt voor een levendig oppervlak dat meebeweegt met de tijd en het landschap. Binnen zorgen houten accenten, warme texturen en een open plattegrond voor balans, comfort en een onverwachte lichtheid in de beleving.
Architectuur in lagen en contrasten
Maison de Rouille is een woning die zich niet opdringt, maar zichzelf langzaam onthult. Van afstand oogt het gesloten en stevig, maar eenmaal binnen ontvouwt zich een ruimtelijk verhaal van contrasten: ruw en zacht, donker en licht, gesloten en open. Een huis dat de dialoog aangaat met zijn omgeving én bewoner.
