Château Neercanne - Luxury boutique suites

On the 1st of March 2024 the seven luxury boutique suites and lobby of Château Neercanne were opened. We’ve created eight different experiences that are in harmony with each other, the château and its surroundings. Each suite – and the lobby – is a composition of historical and contemporary elements. For the interior we’ve used floral prints and matching colours to reflect the beautiful nature outside.

Château Neercanne itself offers a special base. The seventeenth-century castle is built entirely of marl stone and is the only terraced castle in the Netherlands. That is why some surprises emerged during the renovation, such as historic beams that had to remain visible. Roelfien: “It is a very nice process to come up with solutions with the construction team and the client that usually turn out better than the initial design. That gave an extra dimension to this project.” In addition to the construction and practical matters that are important for a hotel, colour play an important role in the design. Roelfien: “We've chosen colours that relate to the environment or the building itself. Beautiful soft shades combined with striking colours such as terracotta red. The combination of these colours with other elements in the room creates a calm and harmonious atmosphere.” Everything is exactly right down to the last detail. For example, the flowers on the wall correspond to the flora in the region, the pattern on the carpets reflects the contours of the hills of the surrounding Jekerdal and the tile pattern in two bathrooms are inspired by the formal garden in the front of the château. Roelfien also furnished the seven suites while preserving as many historical elements as possible. “Each suite combines historical charm with modern luxury and offers an exceptional level of comfort and refinement.”
