The Kakumäe harbour building in Tallinn is divided into a boathouse and a yacht club. The harbour building, located directly on the Baltic Sea in Estonia, was covered with a BEMO standing seam roof, which is both futuristic and dynamic in its form. The approximately 6,100 m² large metal roof made of aluminium not only fulfils aesthetic wishes, but also structural-physical requirements: The roof system must withstand high wind loads, is exposed to extremely salty environments and must survive very cold winters. Due to this, BEMO already supported the planning of the standing seam roof and was present on site in an advisory capacity.

The standing seam sheets N50-429 were manufactured in the German factory and curved with very tight radii of approx. 900 mm directly on the construction site in Estonia.
