FOUR Frankfurt

The new inner city quarter FOUR Frankfurt is being built in cooperation between UNStudio and HPP. An equally weighted joint venture was formed for the successful implementation of the project. The ensemble of four new high-rise towers with heights of up to 228 meters not only changes the skyline of the city sustainably, but also creates a new center of life for the residents in the heart of the city. FOUR Frankfurt is characterized by a utilization concept that is unique in Europe and relies on a strong mix of apartments, offices, hotel use and commercial space as well as public access and amenity qualities.

Healthy City
The area is to be understood fundamentally as an urban, pedestrianized and thus public space through its development and square sequences. There is no regulation of opening hours and access restrictions. Monofunctionality is avoided by offering overlapping programs and accessibility. Lively and public uses underline this. This is to promote the cohesion of the ensemble programmatically and its acceptance by the people of the city.

Sustainability
The goal is to develop a sustainable and resource-saving "Smart-City Quartier" that actively enlivens Junghofstraße and Schlesinger Gasse, invites people across Rosmarkt and Grosse Gallusstrasse, acts as an incubator for the neighborhood and meets the needs of a service-oriented as well as internationally networked society without harming the environment. The concept minimizes the consumption of energy and raw materials through the use of innovative technologies designed for the neighborhood. Reduced effects on the environment, higher user satisfaction, flexibility and adaptability of programs, lower life cycle costs and a higher real estate value are just a few elements of the holistic approach. Against this backdrop, the sustainability concept aims on the one hand to ensure high quality and value retention of the buildings and on the other hand to prepare for future developments.
