Oranje Wall of Fame

Playing for Oranje (the Dutch national team) is the highest that you can achieve as a Dutch football player. KNVB is proud to honor all of its 1.356 former internationals who have played for Oranje since April 30th 1905.

But KNVB is also proud on all the others who have brought international matches to the highest level, the former national coaches and the most loyal fans. That is why KNVB wants to honor them them all with a place on the KNVB Campus in Zeist: the Oranje Wall of Fame.

On April 30, the date of the very first international match, the Oranje Wall of Fame was unveiled on the KNVB Campus.

The question for .DAY creative business partners was: “How can we create a place on the Campus for our heroes – all internationals – who will play for the Dutch national team in the past, now and in the future?”

.DAY created a framework of hexagons that are placed in different angles. Because of this they catch the light in a different way and make a drawing through shadow and reflection.
