Eco center Korea

endorsed by the UIA (International Union of Architects). 3rd International Architectural Competition for the installation of an Ecological Center that will be placed in the Nakdong River Area of Busan. The 'Eco-center' is to serve as a center for a natural reservation and an ecological education facility for the southern part of South Korea. The Eco-center will show how human beings can live harmoniously with the natural environment. At the same time, this facility will be an interpretive center for the past, the present and the future ecological conditions of the Nakdong River area. In order to educate people regarding the relationships between living things and nonliving things and the relationships between human beings and the natural environment exhibits will be arranged around the site. The competition is open to all professionals, designers, and students of architecture, urban design, landscape design (Non-architects should led by an architect or a student of architecture). No age limitation, projects may be individual or by group effort. Number of a team member is not limited. Entree fee: KRW 120,000 (equivalent to USD $120.00) for professionals and of KRW 80,000 (equivalent to USD $80.00) for students. For more information see the website.
