Competition Park Beijing

Competition: design a park

The design has to forfill the wish, amoungst other, to walk, play, relax, picnic and swim. The location is a dry riverbed, very green, covered with cottonwood. In the winter this area is about -10 till -15°C, in the summer it is quit hot. It is necessery that the visitors can buy coffee, tea and little snacks in a kiosk. The kiosk has to be designed too. The park must have at least two entry’s. 50% of the plantation has to be bulbs. The designer can fit in a creek or brook. The location is 70 km from the center.
Conditions
The design has to content the following conditions:

• The design is about a park for the citizens of Beijing

• Financial: The project has to be realised within the budget of 1,800,000.- euros

• Juridical: The design has to suffice all the valid rules and the normal valid standards.

Programme
• The design has to be realised confirm the map

• The design doesn’t have to be related to the surrounding cultivation

• The design doesn’t have to be related to future cultivation

• The design has to be related to the cottonwood (left side of the map)

Documents
• The competition documents (digital) have to be send by email before February 1st to: info@wendyhendriksen.nl

• The document has to be completed with name and address of the designer. It is possible to compete with several designs.

Jury
• The designs will be autonomously judged by Mrs. Yong Jiang.

Criticism
• The designs will be judged based on the following criterion:

• use of color

• use of organical shapes

• European influences

• originality
